2017 - Clickteam Fusion 2.5
Sole Creator
Every afternoon during my days at high school, I would come home and play Five Nights at Freddy's - not necessarily because I wanted to 'beat' the game, but because I was enamoured by the fact that it was a 3D game in a 2D engine -- faux 2.5D. As the sequels released over the next few years, my motivation to create something like it was only bolstered. And so, towards the end of high school, I committed to instead spending every spare moment I had building my own 'FNaF-esque' experience.
After about four months, I had completed this game. The code was simple, as I had previous experience working with unfinished projects in Clickteam Fusion, and so I spent most of my time creating assets in Blender and UI/Textures in Paint.NET, as well as sourcing sounds from FreeSound and writing some of my own music in GarageBand. The game has a number of secrets and easter eggs, an end-game cheat selection screen and a full custom night, and received two post-release updates to fix a few visual bugs and celebrate the subsequent Christmas season.
